SustainImpact focuses on turning sustainability ambition into measurable business impact.

SustainImpact | Denmark

SustainImpact has been built on a clear premise: sustainability only creates value when it is embedded into the core of the business. The firm works with leaders who want to move beyond ambition and translate sustainability into practical, measurable outcomes.

Founded by Ole Bach Andersen, SustainImpact supports companies in navigating one of the most complex challenges they face today. Its work centres on helping organisations integrate sustainability into strategy, operations, and decision-making, ensuring it contributes to both growth and resilience.

"I started SustainImpact after deciding to spend the remaining part of my career helping companies reduce their negative impact on nature, including climate and biodiversity. This decision was based on the insight that there was enormous business potential in sustainability, alongside increasing regulation that could be turned into business value. While some of that regulatory momentum has since diminished, the business opportunities remain." says Ole Bach Andersen.

"I help leaders turn sustainability ambition into measurable impact by embedding it into the core of the business, where it can drive both growth and accountability.”

This perspective reflects a broader shift in how sustainability is approached. At the centre of SustainImpact is a focus on simplicity. Rather than adding layers of complexity, the firm works to clarify priorities and enable action. This includes areas such as double materiality assessments, CSRD readiness, and aligning sustainability with broader business objectives.

For many organisations, reporting has become a compliance exercise. SustainImpact challenges that view. It positions sustainability reporting as a strategic tool - an opportunity to reassess business models, understand customer expectations, and identify new areas for growth while managing risk.

Ole brings a combination of consulting experience, leadership responsibility, and technical understanding. With a background in computer science and years spent managing complex business environments, he is able to connect sustainability with digital transformation and operational realities. This allows him to engage with both strategic and technical stakeholders, ensuring that sustainability initiatives are grounded in how businesses actually function.

His experience across industries and advisory roles also enables him to quickly assess organisational challenges, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics. This is particularly relevant as companies respond to evolving European frameworks and increasing expectations around transparency and accountability.

“The main reason To be Part of Global Advisory Alliance is that I would rather be a medium-sized fish in a small pond than a large fish in the ocean.

By that, I mean my ability to influence outcomes is far greater in this kind of environment than within a huge global agency, and my chances of securing the right assignments are stronger.”

"I have spent my entire career as a VP and business owner, which means I understand the commercial realities and leadership pressures companies face. That gives me a different perspective from many sustainability consulting firms, which often focus primarily on regulation, reporting, and risk rather than practical business outcomes.

I work mainly with medium-sized businesses across a broad range of sectors, with particularly strong experience in IT, finance, utilities, telecoms, manufacturing, and trade/retail. My focus is on helping leadership teams turn sustainability challenges into business opportunities that create measurable value.

Being part of Global Advisory Alliacne strengthens that offering. As independent advisors, our advice is driven solely by what serves the client, not internal billing targets or corporate agendas. At the same time, GAA gives clients access to global perspectives and specialist expertise that many organisations need but often struggle to find through a single local advisor."
says Ole Bach Andersen.
