Diego is an experienced Governance Specialist and Senior Consultant, with over 15 years dedicated to the field of climate change. He believes in sustainability through unlocking innovative strategies and financing opportunities for private and public organizations to cope with climate impacts, always focusing on co-benefits for the society and nature-positive effects for the environment. Currently, he holds the position of COO at ‍Tekoha Climate & Territory

Holding more than 15 years of experience, Diego works as a senior consultant and advisor for both private and public sectors to help improving the decision-making capacities and strategies design through governance and climate education. He uses the state-of-the-art of scientific and practical knowledges to produce analysis and provide guidance for the development of solutions and plans.

His expertise has already been applied to the energy, agriculture, insurance, chemistry, logistics and urban planning sectors to reduce the negative impacts of climate change by turning them into strategical opportunities. Besides working as a practitioner, he also contributed to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and Urban Biodiversity Hub (UBHub) as a Nature-based Solutions expert, and to IPCC’s Assessment Reports and UNEP’s Global Environment Outlook.
