About

Oliver Maennicke

With over 14 years of international experience in sustainability, engineering, and advisory, Oliver is a specialist in driving complex organizational change. He helps clients move beyond compliance to turn environmental challenges into strategic opportunities for innovation and growth. His background spans technical consulting, NGO partnerships, and management advisory across water stewardship, climate risk, circular economy, and ESG.

As a Chartered Engineer and accredited sustainability professional, Oliver has held senior roles in professional services and global NGOs. He is an innovation management leader, evidenced by his work co-developing water risk tools with international reach and advising both public and private sector clients on cutting-edge decarbonisation, resilience, and circular economy solutions. His experience includes leading multi-stakeholder initiatives to overcome resistance and secure buy-in for major ESG transitions.

Now working independently, Oliver supports organizations by applying change management principles to embed sustainability. He focuses on creating measurable and lasting impact through robust data, materiality-driven strategies, and industry-aligned frameworks. Whether the challenge involves water risk, climate adaptation, or circular operations, he brings deep technical insight and collaborative leadership to successfully guide the transition.
